Escape to Nature: Your Invitation to Shinrin Yoku Bliss

Welcome to a rejuvenating experience designed just for you—an opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature, and nurture your inner self.

What to Expect:

Join a gathering of kindred spirits in the Ball Perkins Park for a leisurely 1-hour exploration of the natural wonders that surround us. This is more than a walk; it's a mini-retreat, a chance to quiet your mind, awaken your senses, and feed your soul with the wisdom that nature graciously shares.

Guided Immersion:Your journey will be guided by carefully curated exercises aimed at quietening the mind, heightening your senses, and deepening your connection to the world around you. Picture mindfulness awareness, walking and sitting meditations, and nature-therapy exercises—gentle invitations to truly bathe in the healing atmosphere of the forest.

Silent Harmony:Much of the session unfolds in silence, creating a space for personal reflection and shared connection with fellow participants. There is also opportunity to share your experiences, fostering a sense of community and mutual understanding.

No Experience Needed:This is an inclusive experience; no prior experience is necessary. Whether you're a seasoned nature enthusiast or a first-time forest bather, you're welcome to join in and savor the moment.

Scientifically Proven Benefits:Shinrin Yoku isn't just a pleasant stroll—it's backed by science. Researchers have invested millions to prove its efficacy. Expect benefits such as:

- Boosted immune system functioning

- Reduced Blood Pressure

- Reduced stress

- Improved mood

- Increased ability to focus

- Accelerated recovery from surgery of illness

- Increased energy level

- Improved sleep

It's a holistic approach to well-being.

What to Wear/Bring:Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for walking off the beaten track. It’s a slow-paced session with periods of stillness. I ask you to bring extra layers of clothes as body temperature can significantly reduce when we go into the woods and move slowly during exercises to sitting still for long periods. Layers are key, as Michigan weather can surprise us. Don't forget a rug, yoga mat, or a foldable chair for guided mindfulness exercises. Embrace the elements; it might be muddy or snowy—dress warmly! Remember, there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. You may wish to bring drinking water, and any food or medications you might need.

You will need to bring a journal or notebook with a pen or pencil.

Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes/ oils as they may mask the natural smells of the woods.

Location: We will meet parking lot of Bell Perkins Park.  It blends urban convenience and outdoor experience.

Minors: This event is for adults 18+ or mature teenagers. If there is a demand, I will plan something for the littles in the future. Please reach out to me if that is something you would like to see.

Dogs: Sorry, I love them, but this is not an event for them. Fido has to stay at home for this one. If you have a guide dog, please, contact me.

Medical Conditions/Medications: If you have any medical conditions, are on a prescribed medication, or have any concerns, please, see your GP and inform him/her about attending. If you currently experience or have a history of serious health issues (including mental health issues, operations, medical procedures, seizures, implants, special needs), please, inform me before. Informing me will help me look after you.

Possible Risks: Potential risks are associated with the physical risks of walking and breathing exercises, and certain natural hazards (e.g. roots, branches). You might sometimes find that certain emotions can come up during the exercises which is a normal reaction of our body relaxing and releasing tension. Certain beliefs about yourself and the world can be challenged during the session.

Your love donations are appreciated, but everyone is always welcomed and no one will ever be turned away. Your presence is the greatest gift.

Embark on this journey with me, and let nature's embrace guide you to a place of tranquility and connection. Reserve your spot now for an unforgettable Shinrin Yoku experience. I look forward to sharing this magical mini-retreat with you!
