January Full Moon Hike

Have you ever wanted to hike the dunes under the magical glow of the full moon? This is your chance to enjoy the peace and serenity of this elusive environment and practice perhaps a more magical experience than your normal time spent in hiking boots.

Hiking under the full moon provides a quiet experience where you get nature all to yourself.

Join me for a guided night hike as we follow the setting sun and watch the moon rise from atop the dunes! We’ll be hiking the Sleeping Bear Pointe trail which is a 2.50 mile, loop trail near Glen Arbor Township, Michigan. Generally considered a moderately challenging due to hiking in soft sand up and down dunes.

BRING:

Headlamp or a flashlight but be prepared to spend some time in the moonlit dark, too!

Layers, it can get chilly

Optional: snacks, hiking poles, hot tea 

We will leave the trailhead promptly at 5:00. Please be ready to hike at that time and plan on over an hour.
