Men's Wilderness Retreat

Paddle away from civilization on a wilderness canoe trip into the woods of Northern Michigan.

Men's Wilderness Retreat
You don’t have to strap on a giant backpack or hike 10 miles to get out into the wilderness — finding solitude can be as easy as loading up a canoe, pushing off, and dipping a paddle into the water. On a canoe trip, you need not worry about squeezing past others on a narrow trail or lugging around liters of water — everything you need is right in the boat with you.

Men rarely take the time to step out of the demands of life and answer the call of adventure. Taking this time can fill a vital need and re-energize and re-orient their masculine energy, helping to move through all the phases of their lives.

A man's life will at times require him to step out of his life and answer the call to adventure. Taking this time can fill a vital need and re-energize and re-orient your masculine energy.

Here in the deep north, adventures are rewarded with unparalleled solitude and scenery that’s still wild.

The wilderness surrounding us provides an amazing venue to purposefully disconnect from our busy and often overwhelming lives. Through this nature-focused experience, we will gain insight and connection to our true selves.

Join other men in a release of anger, fear, and stress. Take back control of your life and ignite your higher self, your greater confidence, your presence, your personal growth, and gain a clear sense of life and souls purpose.

During three days on the water, expect days of both travel and camping.

Each day will bring new experiences and sights, that could include waterfalls, wildlife, towering old growth white pines, and beautiful Northwoods surroundings.

What happens when you take a group of men and drop them in the middle of the wilderness with nothing but raw materials and time on their hands?

They cut wood, they forage, they light a fire, they pitch tents. The food is primary and nutritious. Apart from a ceremonial potion bottle, there is no alcohol. In the evening, the group sits around and use a “talking stick” to let the conversation fly off in whatever direction it may.

This is not about vulnerability, it's about power... not power in the sense of domination or control, it is the power growing closer to your full, wild self for a short period of time. Encouraging that connection in each other, and taking it with you as you return to “normal” life. So, you just get to taste and to know and to feel it. And when that spark travels around 10 people, it becomes something more.

If you’re intrigued by a wilderness canoe trip in Northern Michigan, this is your chance to experience the adventure. Whether this is your first time in a canoe or you’d like to improve your wilderness skills as an experienced paddler. This three-day fully outfitted and guided canoe trip is open to men. You’ll be geared up with all the canoeing and camping equipment, including inflatable sleeping pads for a good night’s sleep and comfy trail chairs for lounging at camp.
